Evolution of Mandagini Group
A legacy of excellence spanning three generations
The journey of Mandagini Group began in the 1950s, when the legendary founder Mr. KCS Kasi Nadar and Smt. Gandhimathi Ammal laid the foundation by setting up a tin container manufacturing unit. Their pioneering spirit and dedication to quality became the cornerstone of what would later grow into a diversified business group.
In 1979, their elder son Mr. Krishna, Mandagini Chairman, and his wife Mrs. Indumathi took the vision forward by establishing Mandagini Seals, a duplex cardboard wad manufacturing unit. With their innovation and foresight, Mandagini soon became a pioneer in wads and seals manufacturing in India, catering not only to the domestic market but also exporting extensively to global markets.
Entering the new millennium, Mr. Kasi Kannan, son of Mr. Krishna and Mrs. Indumathi, after graduating engineering in India and Business management in Mumbai and Executive education Stanford University, USA, assumed leadership of the business. Under his stewardship since 2000, Mandagini has achieved remarkable growth, expanding into four state-of-the-art plants located in Chennai and Mumbai.
Today, Mandagini Group:
Employs over 250 families across India, reflecting its role as a responsible employer.
Operates world-class facilities in Chennai with in-house 7-colour foil printing, multilayer lamination, slitting, and punching capabilities.
Embeds employee welfare at its core, conducting regular Yoga and meditation sessions to promote holistic well-being.
Provides monetary support to employee's children to pursue education.
Leads by example in women empowerment, with 40% of operations managed by women employees.
Practices Sustainability, zero carbon footprint and adopting a go green policy wherever possible.
While continuing towards Diamond jubilee of Mandagini, with an ambitious vision, Mandagini is on the road to achieving a turnover of ₹75 crores, continuing its legacy of innovation, excellence, and social responsibility.
